Casta Diva’s animators are BAFTA contenders

January 17, 2013

Casta Diva Pictures’ animator-directors Ainslie Henderson and Will Anderson have been nominated for a BAFTA award, with their short animation “The Making Of Longbird”.

A moved Will told us:

“The BAFTA nomination is definitely the biggest thing the film has had – it’s a real step up; I’m very excited and I genuinely didn’t expect to get through the first round, it really blows my mind.
I really couldn’t have got here without my friends. The film symoblises people working together”.

An equally thrilled Ainslie added:

“It’s such an honour to be nominated. Will and I first started working together when we were at art school, while he was making Longbird. It was a pretty natural development, not something that was ever formally agreed, we were just on a similar wavelength creatively.
It was a pleasure being part of the making of the film, working with Will is great fun, and often inspiring.
He really deserves this, and I’m very grateful to be recognised also”.
