Casta Diva Pictures seeks videomakers

September 15, 2016

Casta Diva Pictures, a production company of spots and branded content, with thirteen offices across the globe, is a partner in the short-film competition “La ricerca nel quotodiano”, open to aspiring videomakers.

Sponsored by QVC Italia, a home shopping multimedia platform, in collaboration with Zooppa and the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi – the Pink is Good project to promote research into the prevention of breast cancer.

Entries must creatively express a journey of discovery towards something which will bring change: the discovery of love, the pursuit of happiness, the search for a cure for a rare disease or simply the revelation of a part of us that we were previously unaware of.

Films can be recorded on any type of device; the only requirement is that the result can be transmitted on screen or video. Entries must be no longer than eight minutes.

The closing date for submissions to the competition is 26th October. The final selection of films will be presented at a special showing in November.

From all the entries submitted, the two winners will be decided by a jury made up of Fabio Nesi, partner and executive producer of Casta Diva Pictures Milan, Marcello Porta, multichannel art director, Claudio Gobbetti, multichannel content editor of QVC Italia, and Monica Ramaioli, managing director of the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi. Each film will be evaluated for its originality, content and creativity.

QVC, the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi and Casta Diva Pictures will ensure the maximum visibility to the best works across all their various platforms; TV, social media and websites

The winner of the competition will be awarded a month’s internship at Casta Diva Pictures Cape Town, and be given the opportunity of working with varied production companies at both feature film and digital levels. The prize also includes a scholarship worth €5,000.
The runner-up will be awarded a month’s internship at Casta Diva Pictures Milan, as well as a production budget equal to €15,000 to shoot a short on the life of a researcher at the Fondazione Umberto Veronesi.
